Custom Soapbox & Driver Competition

 

There are 4 categories in which to enter...

 

(1) Ages 0 to 6 years  ENTRY NOW FREE

(2) Ages 7 to 15 years   ENTRY NOW FREE

(3) Age 16 and over

(4) Business / Community Groups / Charities

 

Your entry(ies) need to be brought to the Control Tent at Kings Park between 9am and 11am Saturday morning.  The ‘drivers’ in costume will need to attend their Soapbox at 2pm Sunday for final judging and the Prize-giving will take place around 3pm Sunday 10th August.  Please note, there is no racing invovled or driving of the vehicles expected !

 

You must pre-register to enter.  NO NEED TO PRE-REGISTER  The entry form and more information about the competition rules etc. can be downloaded here

 

There is one prize for the 'best' in each of the first 3 categories.

 

The prize for the Business / Community Group category will be a unique trophy hand-built by Kenny Roach inspired by recycling 1940's materials - it is sure to be a talking point!

 

If you want a 'head start' on construction, our local 'Retford Joinery' business has offered to create these basic kits onto which you can add your own wheels and customisation!  They are made to order, so they are ready to receive your call on 01777 700848.  £38 per car.
